Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)


1️⃣ How far is Singapore American School?


📍 Location: Singapore American School, HighSchool Baseball Field, Woodlands, SG

  • Travel time depends on your location in Singapore.
  • Easily accessible via MRT (Woodlands Station) and bus services.
  • Parking is available for those driving.


2️⃣ Weekend Matches - Sunday


  • Matches will start at 1PM and finish by 4PM on a Sunday (24 overs) for U13/U11 and 4-7PM for the U16. The schedule is designed to ensure kids can get home and rest in time for school on the Monday 
  • If the match is rained off, it will be rescheduled to the coming Thursday/Saturday evening (7-10PM) 


3️⃣ How often will my child play?


The 3Cricket League spans 8 months, from the third/fourth week of August 2025 to the end of May 2026, with scheduled blackout dates:


🚫 Blackout Dates:


  • October 18 – 25 (Deepavali) 
  • December 1 – January 10 (Winter Break) 
  • February 14 – 21 (CNY) 
  • June (whole month - Summer Break) 
  • July (whole month - Summer Break) 


Match Frequency:


  • Each child will play approximately one match per month (7 matches across 8 months) 
  • If the team qualifies for the semi-finals and finals, they will play one/two additional matches.


Total Commitment:


  • 7 group-stage matches + up to 2 extra matches (semi-finals & finals).
  • Matches will be scheduled on Sundays 


This ensures a manageable commitment for families while maintaining a structured, competitive league experience.


4️⃣ What time do matches start and finish?


  • Matches will start at 1.00PM on a Sun (U11/U13) and 4PM on a Sun (U16) 
  • Matches will end at 4:00/7PM PM, as each game lasts 3 hours (U11,U13,U16) 


5️⃣ What commitment is required from parents?


  • Timely Attendance: Ensure your child arrives on time for matches.
  • Support: Encourage your child and cheer for the team.
  • Equipment: Ensure your child has the required kit (team shirt, pads, gloves).
  • Live Streaming: If you can’t attend, watch the match live on YouTube or follow updates via our digital scoring app.


6️⃣ Why is the format 24 overs per side?


  • The 24-over format keeps matches fast-paced and engaging for young cricketers.
  • Ensures matches fit within 3 hours, making it suitable for younger children with game experience for older children
  • Provides a balanced opportunity for batting, bowling, and fielding for all players.


7️⃣ What happens if it rains?


Rain-Off Policy:


  • If a match is rained off on Sun it will be rescheduled for the coming Thursday/Saturday evening.
  • Extra dates have been allocated to accommodate any rain-affected matches.


8️⃣ What equipment does my child need?


Each player must bring:


Team shirt

Cricket bat

Pads, gloves, and helmet

Rubber-soled cricket shoes

🏏 Balls and match equipment will be provided by 3Cricket.


9️⃣ Schedule 


  • The schedule might have slight changes if SAS school fixtures are held across any of those dates. Changes and alternative dates will be given plenty of advance notice.
